The abundant water of this region flows from falls to streams. It feeds lakes that attract not only many hikers but also fishermen and scientists. The Tuliere and Sanadoire Rocks form one of the most beautiful landcapes in Auvergne. The Tuliere Rock is a volcan plug and its name comes from the flat stones taken from its slopes which are used to cover houses. The Sanadoire Rock is a lave dome on which a fortress occuped by the english during the hundred years War was bult.
Certain species of animals like the red kite, the kestrel or the otter that are so rare in other places have become so acclimatised to our region that they are almost common for us. The observant hiker is often surprised by this incredible but timid wildlife.
