Château Loudenne, a Médoc Cru Bourgeois, situated on the banks of the Gironde estuary, is one of the major Médoc estates, offering a magical blend of Brtish comfort and french lifestyle.
Loudenne is an enchanting place for a stay in a wine château set amidst the surrounding vines, overlooking the Gironde estuary.
The main façade and terrace of Loudenne open out on to a panoramic view of passing ships. The soft, pastel harmony of the drawing-room is repeated in the same subtle shades decorating the bedrooms. What better sourceof happiness than throwing open the windows to gaze out over the 62 hectares of vines, their neat rows sloping gently down towards the river.
Loudenne is an ideal place to visit. Its magnificent, Victorian cellars, close to the tiny, private harbour, are home to the carrefully crafted wines. A museum and tasting room eagerly await visitors.
The doors of Loudenne are open throughout the year and over the weekend from april to the end of october, for visits to the cellars and museum, followed by a tasting.
